2010 AMGEN Tour of California Stage 6 Picture Gallery
We went up to Wrightwood the afternoon before Stage 6 of theTour of California sothat we could scout out the section of Angeles Crest Highway around Dawson Saddle,
the highest point of the stage. That mission completed, we then checked into our
motel and then went in search of dinner. The next morning, we were up and out early
for breakfast and then we headed up the road to Dawson Saddle.
We arrived at Dawson around 8:30 AM and found a few folks already there. The first
group of TOC riders, a breakaway group of 7, arrived at 12:19 PM. The Peloton was
5+ minutes behind, arriving at 12:25 PM.
The pictures presented below were selected from the 280+ pictures Annette and I shot
before and during the race. The pictures are arranged in rough chronological order with
some anomlies due to the fact that the clocks on our cameras were not synchronized.
We saw a number of SC Velo people up at Dawson Saddle and took pictures of many of them.
