2011 San Dimas Stage Race Picture Galleries
The 12th Annual San Dimas Stage Race - March 25, 26, & 27, 2011

The San Dimas Stage Race (SDSR) is a premier race which attracts top flight riders in all categories from all around the U.S. as well as internationally. The race is hosted by the Southern California Velo (SC Velo) cycling club. The race consisted of three exciting stages in three great venues: * Stage 1: A challenging Time Trial up Glendora Mountain Road (GMR) on March 25th, sponsored by Chaffey Auto Body. * Stage 2: A classic Road Race around Bonelli Park on March 26th, sponsored by San Dimas Community Hospital. * Stage 3: A fast Criterium around downtown San Dimas on March 27th, sponsored by Incycle bike stores and Cannondale bikes. On Sunday, there was also a special Kids' Race, sponsored by Chaffey Auto Body, which was held at 12:30 pm. Kids of all ages raced along Bonita Ave., with the older kids making one complete circuit of the Criterium course. Every rider in these races was a winner. Over 900 riders competed this year with many world class professional teams and riders in that number, as well as many talented amatuer riders in the Cat 2, 3, 4, 5, Masters anf Juniors races. Annette and I reprised our roles on the SDSR Organizing Committee as Media Coordinators again this year. We were again impressed by how this group of volunteers drawn from many walks of life planned, organized, and conducted a professional caliber event. We are looking forward to an encore for 2012. We took over 5,000 pictures during the three days. Annette took the majority of the pictures because I had to attend to some race day duties in order to facilitate the coverage of the race by media representatives. I did do all of the post processing and web page creation, albeit slowly. Our 2011 SDSR picture galleries are works in progress. As time goes on, we'll be making changes such as adding more pictures and updating captions. The galleries are organized with two galleries for each stage. One with pictures of the race in general and one focused on SC Velo riders. There is also a gallery of pictures from the Kids Races that were held on Sunday We are posting the galleries as we finish them, so for a while some of the links will not be active.
